Editor-in-Chief

Tania Hussain: Tania is the Editor-in-Chief of The Hudsucker and Senior Editor at PopCulture.com (formerly Womanista). She had her own column over at Newsvine between 2008 to 2012. During her time with the NBC News affiliate, she was given the humbling opportunity to work with Water.org and the UN Foundation for causes close to her heart. Tania had the privilege of interviewing many in the entertainment industry. In her spare time, she has a great passion for films of all kinds and considers herself a TCM aficionado. She loves watching baseball and football, road tripping across North America, meeting new people, eating soft and hard cheeses, and making pancakes. As a journalism student at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Tania is studying at the College of Communication Information and Media in pursue of her Bachelor’s. She is a member of the Indianapolis-based, Society of Professional Journalists — one of the oldest organizations in the U.S. that promotes and represents journalists. Senior Managing Editor

Katherine Hernandez: As a senior managing editor, Katherine helps decide what type of content goes up by helping approve writer pitches and overlooking editing. Finally putting her two years as a journalism major to good use, she currently works for her local library where she is a crusader for free speech and access to information, as well as leading the call for people to please clean off their library books before they return them. She has a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies and Ethnicity from the University of Southern California where she also studied journalism, creative writing, and popular music. A proud USC Trojan, Katherine hosted a weekly sports radio show and did color commentary for both football and women‘s volleyball games for the student station while at the university. She is an avid writer whose dream is to one day have a short story published in The New Yorker. When she is not at the movie theater for another showing of The Avengers, Katherine enjoys long drives, listening to oldies music, playing Rock Band, going to the beach, reading everything from comics to Russian novels, and exploring new avenues of “geekdom” with her friends. Her life is a classic rock song, and she still believes in heroes.  Katherine resides in Seattle, Washington.

However until adulthood (or reality) wrestles Alex down, he also likes to believe that he does a fantastic version of “A Whole New World” and pretty much any old school Disney in general. He loves writing about relationships, as well as movies but ironically not romantic comedies (go figure). He is also a big fan of 90’s television (from Fresh Prince to Rachel’s hair) the Seattle Seahawks and really good chocolate cake. Alex also writes for The Richest and The Sportster.
