This week Team Flash has a serious run of bad luck. How bad? Well, if you don’t mind spoilers keep reading and you’ll find out just how bad things get!

We open up this week with The Thinker narrating the life of Becky Sharp, a woman whose entire life is a series of bad luck. Her latte has milk which makes her sick, her boyfriend is cheating on her, she loses her job, her car, and even breaks a heel trying to run for the bus. But once she’s on the bus? Everything changes.

Back in the present Team Flash is playing (and losing) laser tag before having food together in the park. Cecile complains about the bad pipes at the West house while Iris get an alert that she and Barry will now be able to have their perfect wedding venue. The celebration is short lived, though as a breach alert goes off at STAR Labs.

But the breach? It’s supposed to be Jesse Quick. Wally is waiting for her for their date night, but Harry comes out instead. Turns out, Jesse is breaking up with Wally via Atlantean Breakup Cube. There’s no time to process, though. There’s a bank robbery in progress and who do we see? It’s Becky! But she looks so much better and happier. She just strolls into the bank and the vault and cleans up while everyone around her has seriously bad luck, from choking to exploding tech. Even Barry is impacted. When he speeds onto the scene to stop her, he trips on spilled marbles in the street in what might be the most clever nod to John Wesley Shipp’s 1990 series ever.

The team quickly sorts out that Becky is a metahuman, but she couldn’t be since she wasn’t in town when the particle accelerator blew. This leads Harry and Cisco to try to find out how it’s possible while Joe and Cecile get a quote to fix the plumbing at the West house. The price tag is pretty hefty and Cecile suggests they just buy a new home. Joe isn’t really excited about this idea, but says he will consider it.

At Barry and Iris’ apartment, Iris tries on her gorgeous wedding dress but Barry shows up without realizing that she was trying on her dress. He sees her, but they don’t get to dwell on how seeing the bride can be bad luck because he has bad news. Their perfect venue? Burned down. Their backup is also gone now, too.

Harry and Cisco discover that Becky was exposed to dark matter and they manage to track the location of exposure to an intersection. That intersection happens to be where Barry came out of the Speed Force in the season premiere and if you’ve already guess where this is going, you’re right. Barry’s return from the Speed Force turned everyone on that bus into a metahuman. That includes Becky. That includes last week’s Kilgore. This is not good.

Also not good? The pipes go from bad to worse at the West house. Now they are actually bursting. Barry helps turn off the water and has a moment with Joe talking about the house. Barry tells him that the memories of his and Iris’ childhood aren’t tied to the house. They will always be with him. Cisco then calls. Becky is at Jitters.

Barry goes to meet Becky and tries to talk to her about being a metahuman. He explains to her that what she’s doing is actually abusing her newfound powers because of her own unlucky experiences but Becky doesn’t care. She thinks it’s her turn to be lucky. She also makes some threats that keeps Barry from doing anything to stop her as she leaves.

So by now the team thinks they’ve been jinxed, though Harry thinks that Becky (who is now dubbed Hazard) isn’t causing bad luck so much as her own good luck creates an opposite reaction around her. This prompts Iris to want to get married right now, going so far as to crash a funeral. That doesn’t go well when the priest ends up having an allergic reaction. Also not going well? Harry’s situation on Earth-2. He reveals to Cisco that Jesse has her own team now, but she also kicked Harry off it for being too overbearing.

And now it’s adventure time. Bad luck reaches critical mass in Central City as Hazard’s power has suddenly gotten much, much bigger as she heads back to the casino where she worked before and the more she wins, the worse it gets. How much worse? Well, the particle accelerator at STAR starts firing up and is going to explode. The team works to shut it down. Barry tries to stop Hazard, but that doesn’t work when he falls down, handcuffs himself, and ends up stuck under a sign. Joe goes home to help Cecile with the disaster there, but she ends up trapped inside with leaking pipes and now electrical issues.

But at the last moment, Harry decides to let the accelerator blow and it turns out to be the right choice. It temporarily negates Hazard’s powers. The bad luck is gone. Barry is able to place her under arrest. With the criminal in jail everything goes back to normal. Cicso invites Harry to stay on Earth-1 with them. Harry reveals that they’ve discovered that the total number of people on the bus that day is 12 so there are only 10 more to find. Wally decides that he needs to leave Central City to go find himself by staying with a friend in Blue Valley for awhile which causes Harry to wonder if someone is behind the new metas and the way things are changing. It’s then revealed to the audience that The Thinker’s samuroid Team Flash has at the lab? Yeah, it lets the bad guy spy on them.

Finally, Joe goes home to find Cecile working on the house even as he tells her he is okay with selling. But Cecile tells him that she’s had a change of heart and for a very big reason: CECILE IS PREGNANT.

Next week? Well, it’s Ralph Dibny time. See you then!
