Welcome back! This week Ralph gets a super suit, Harry creates a think tank with himself, and there are some inanimate objects causing serious problems in Central City. As always, spoilers beyond this point.

The episode opens with Barry and Ralph getting coffee at Jitters and as the pair are leaving they are approached by a mugger. Barry and Ralph keep putting the mugger off while they discuss the best way to use the moment as a learning opportunity for Ralph. Eventually, the mugger gets impatient and shoots Ralph, but the bullets bounce right back and hit the mugger in the leg and butt. Whoops. Barry, explaining that heroes help protect people, takes the mugger to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Mechanic is having a meltdown about how Barry is going to discover the Thinker’s identity sooner than planned. However, the Thinker doesn’t really seem worried about it.

At STAR, Harry, Caitlin, and Cisco have been up all night trying to figure out who DeVoe is. Harry then decides that he needs to get his friends to come help and leaves. Barry and the others talk about trying to find out who the rest of the bus metas are and they decided to have Ralph hypnotised to see if they can figure out who the others are. At the therapist, Ralph’s hypnosis gives few details about the passengers, but he does mention a black bison.

The woman Ralph describes as the black bison? Yeah, she’s in a parking lot. When a man approaches his car, she attacks. The next day Barry and Joe are called to the crime scene. The car guy is dead, his body found missing a hand while a nearby statue of a big cat has blood in its mouth.

At STAR, Harry introduces Cisco to his friends. These friends? They’re various versions of Wells from other Earths (including a hilarious Gandalf-style Wells who makes only a brief appearance). Cisco dubs them the Council of Wells.

Caitlin runs the blood sample and the confirm that the person who attacked the man was a meta. The victim turns out to be an ancient artifacts dealer. This doesn’t bode well for other dealers and sure enough, the woman talks to another one. He shows her a Native American artifact that he calls a peace pipe. She angrily corrects him and calls herself the Black Bison before animating a nearby suit of armor and has it attack the man. Fortunately, Barry and Ralph show up and despite Ralph getting distracted by his new, bland, and boring suit, the save the man. However, Black Bison escapes.

The Black Bison’s real name is Mina Chayton. She turns out to be a former professor of anthropology who lost her job when she was arrested. The team figures out that she’s collecting the parts of an ancient amulet which means whoever has the next part is in danger. Meanwhile, things aren’t going well with the Counci as everyone keeps fighting so Harry kicks them back to their Earths.

Next up, Black Bison chases an armored car transorting museum items. She is able to use a caveman in the car to knock out the guards and gat the artifact she seeks, but Barry and Ralph show up to stop her. Ralph is able to stop Black Bison, but at the expense of a little girl and Barry has to remind him that helping people is the primary concern. The little girl is nearly killed, but she does survive and it very clearly upsets Ralph.

Back at STAR, Cisco gives Harry a pep talk and tells him that they need to find things to like about each other to get the Council to work together. Harry brings them all back and after a hilarious round of describing what they like about each other, they get back to work.

Black Bison manages to get out of jail by picking the lock on her cuffs and Caitlin and Iris inform the guys that she’s on the loose. Barry and Ralph head right for the museum and find that Black Bison has assembled the amulet. She then promptly uses her powers to send a t-rex skeleton after Ralph, who stretches to keep the mouth closed while Barry manages to cuff Bison again by making her think he is going to destroy an artifact.

With Bison locked up, Ralph goes to visit the littler girl in the hospital, making balloon animals with his hands to entertain her. It’s also revealed that Ralph mailed the amulet to the Sioux who it rightfully belongs to. Meanwhile at STAR, Harry says they have figured out who DeVoe is. It’s Clifford DeVoe and they have his address. Barry and Joe go to check it out and the Mechanic, in street clothes, answers. She says DeVoe is her husband and a wheelchair bound but otherwise normal-looking the Thinker rolls up to say hello.

Next week? The Thinker is a big issue.
