You can almost hear the sound of the countdown! It’s hard to believe 2017 is almost over, but we’re certainly welcoming 2018 with open arms. But before 2017 sings its swan song, let’s take a look back at the most-talked-about stories from Hollywood in the month of December.

And Baby Makes Three
This month, it was confirmed another Kardashian will soon be joining the family! Khloe Kardashian confirmed speculation she was expecting on her Instagram. The image, which shows her growing baby bump with her boyfriend and basketball player Tristan Thompson holding her stomach. Kardashian wrote, “My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can’t believe that our love created life!”
The mom-to-be also revealed via Twitter that she is 6 months along. Congrats to the entire family!
A Royal Affair

Last month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement to the world! This month, they gave us the greatest gift of all with multiple photos from their engagement photo shoot. The shots show the happy (and gorgeous) couple looking as lovely and in love as ever, with the future Duchess donning a Ralph & Russo gown for the shots.
While no official announcement on the date of the wedding has been set, we’re certain it will be one for the storybooks!
Catt’s Out Of The Bag

This month, Catt Sadler announced she was leaving her gig as co-host of E! News after 12 years with the network. Sadler cites her reason for leaving as compensation discrepancies between her and an unnamed “male co-host.”
While Sadler didn’t name names, viewers of the program were quickly able to identify E! News host Jason Kennedy as the coworker who was making nearly double Sadler’s pay, with both hosts having served the same amount of time on the program. Sadler said, “there was a massive disparity in pay between my similarly situated male co-host and myself. More recently, when E reached out to renew and extend my deal, I learned that he wasn’t just making a little more than I was. In fact, he was making close to double my salary for the past several years.” She then encouraged viewers to “know [their] worth” and demand to be compensated fairly, or simply to walk away. While the mother of two has not yet signed on to a new television program, we are confident she will be back on our screens in no time. Good luck, Catt!

Another One
Also announcing her pregnancy this month is former Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria. The 42-year-old actress’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE this month that she is in fact expecting her first child with husband José “Pepe” Antonio Bastón.
The mag also revealed the gender of their soon-to-be newborn: a bouncing baby boy! The star is currently 4 months along, and seems happier than ever. Congrats to the happy couple!
