Entertainment Roundup: What Happened in March

For most, March is a turning point. The time where we start to shed our winter layers, and look towards warm weather and new adventures. The same is true for Hollywood! This month, we saw celebs come together to make a change, new couples, hard breakups, and a toothy actress on the loose. Let’s dive in to this month’s Entertainment Roundup!

Chomping At The Beyonce

Let’s kick things off with one of the stranger stories on our list this month, when news broke that an actress reportedly bit Beyonce in the face. Actress, comedian, and author Tiffany Haddish spoke to GQ about the alleged incident, revealing it took place at a party with both Queen Bey and her rapper hubby Jay-Z. Haddish claims in December 2017, she was at a party with the power couple when an unnamed actress bit the singer after taking a selfie with Haddish. The Girls Trip actress later revealed she signed and NDA (non-disclosure agreement), and therefore won’t be revealing the name of the actress in question. The internet, however, has made plenty of guesses. Everyone from Lena Dunham to Gwyneth Paltrow have been named suspects, although the two have since been cleared of any suspicion. The one name people keep coming back to is actress Sanaa Lathan, of Love & Basketball. Lathan, however, was quick to deny the accusation, tweeting “Y’all are funny. Under no circumstances did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would’ve been a love bite.” The mystery continues…

March For Their Lives

On a more serious note, teens and adults alike swarmed Washington D.C. this month to protest gun violence. This event comes in the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, which left 17 dead. The march was organized by some of the survivors of the shooting, and they had plenty of help from a few familiar faces. Celebs from George and Amal Clooney, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, to Demi Lovato, and Paul McCartney all flooded the streets of Washington to protest the use of automatic weapons and support of stricter gun laws in the United States. The event brought an estimated  200,000 people together for a very important cause, and we can’t wait to see what these brave teens have planned next for Washington.

Are They, Or Aren’t They?

Two of Hollywood’s young stars certainly had people talking when they were caught on camera smooching in the street. Actress and model Cara Delevigne was pictured locking lips with Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Delevigne and Jackson first met at the MTV Movie and TV Awards in May last year, and apparently hit it off! The pair were seen smooching after a meal at Los Angeles’ Argentinian restaurant Carlito’s, where they were seen with Macaulay Culkin and former Disney actress Brenda Song. Only time will tell if this was an innocent kiss amongst friends, or if the relationship will become something more!

Zigi No More

In a move that surprised many, model Gigi Hadid and singer Zayn announced their breakup this month on their respective social media accounts. The announcement came after the British tabloid The Sun published a story claiming the pair had split after more than two years together. In a tweet, Zayn wrote, “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all.” We wish them both the best moving forward.

That does it for us this month, folks! Be sure to check back at the end of each month for another exciting Roundup! Also make sure to follow us on Twitter and “like” us on Facebook for more stories just like this.
