Makeup Trend: Cushion Compact Foundations

Maybe you’ve seen them at the drugstore or at the department store’s cosmetics counter, little compacts that aren’t powder and aren’t creams but look like they have a sponge inside of them. Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 14 ‘Truth, Justice, and the American Way’

The episode picks up shortly after the death of Astra. Kara’s grieving for her aunt and she’s having a hard time with it. Her whole personality just seems off, which is either really good acting by Melissa Benoist or thin plot by the writers. I can’t tell which.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has built its reputation on well-written, well-acted blockbuster films that are both entertaining and serious, while elevating the “comic book superhero movie” to something just a little more. Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 13 ‘For The Girl Who Has Everything’

Last night’s episode was a riff off of the classic Superman story “For the Man Who Has Everything.” It was an ambitious undertaking and ultimately felt as organic to Supergirl as true to the classic Alan Moore material. Spoilers beyond this point.
