Last week we saw Kara was not herself thanks to red Kryptonite, and next week we get a great crossover featuring The Flash and Supergirl. That could make for an off week for the show, but last night’s episode didn’t disappoint.
Makeup Trend: Cushion Compact Foundations
Maybe you’ve seen them at the drugstore or at the department store’s cosmetics counter, little compacts that aren’t powder and aren’t creams but look like they have a sponge inside of them. That sponge? Full of thin, fluid foundation that you press onto skin with an applicator pad. They’ve been popular in Korea for some time […]
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 16 ‘Falling’
Last night’s episode opens with Cat being on The Talk (nice tie-in CBS). Cat looks kind of bored and annoyed as they talk to her about Supergirl and how fabulous she is.
A Brief Guide to Success and Home Buying: Talking With Todd Talbot
As one of HGTV’s most popular shows, Love It or List It, Too, follows families whose homes no longer suit their needs, leaving them with a dilemma: Renovate their current home or sell it so they can move into something better? To solve this, designer Jillian Harris and Realtor Todd Talbot compete to win over the homeowner’s […]
The Flashback Special Edition: Who Is The Masked Man?
The Flash is a show that does an incredible job of keeping viewers guessing and building suspense. Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 15 ‘Solitude’
We open up thirteen years ago in the Phantom Zone. Kara in her off-course space pod is getting a close look at Fort Rozz. Then the buzzer sounds. Kara’s in bed and annoyed that it’s morning and there is a knock at the door.
The FlashBack: ‘The Flash’ – Episode 15 ‘King Shark’
So last week Jay died and that is exactly where we pick up. Caitlin, despite having just witnessed Zoom shoving his hand through Jay’s chest, is totally in denial. One can’t blame her. This is the second person that she’s lost that she loved.
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 14 ‘Truth, Justice, and the American Way’
The episode picks up shortly after the death of Astra. Kara’s grieving for her aunt and she’s having a hard time with it. Her whole personality just seems off, which is either really good acting by Melissa Benoist or thin plot by the writers. I can’t tell which.
The FlashBack: ‘The Flash’ – Episode 14 ‘Escape From Earth-2’
Last night’s episode picks up from last week’s. There are spoilers—abandon now if you hate spoilers. Anyway, Zoom has Barry and now he is hunting Harry, spreading his demand that citizens “bring him Wells” all over the city.
Movie Review: Deadpool – The Merc Puts The Money Where His Mouth Is
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has built its reputation on well-written, well-acted blockbuster films that are both entertaining and serious, while elevating the “comic book superhero movie” to something just a little more. With Deadpool, Marvel deviates from that formula with a film about a decidedly not heroic mercenary with a foul mouth, a love of […]
The FlashBack: ‘The Flash’ – Episode 13 ‘Welcome to Earth-2’
This week the team heads off to Earth-2 to stop Zoom and rescue Jesse. It’s an action-packed episode with a lot of great Easter eggs for comics fans, but as always this recap contains spoilers. If you’re not into that it’s time to get off the ride because it’s full speed ahead to Earth-2 from here!
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 13 ‘For The Girl Who Has Everything’
Last night’s episode was a riff off of the classic Superman story “For the Man Who Has Everything.” It was an ambitious undertaking and ultimately felt as organic to Supergirl as true to the classic Alan Moore material. Spoilers beyond this point.
