When John returns to the Kennish home, everyone is there waiting for him. They welcome him with hugs, smiles and A LOT of healthy foods. Keeping John on a strict heart healthy diet and work out routine becomes everyone’s concern; especially Daphne’s. She hovers over John like a mother hen in the days of his return from the hospital. Perhaps because she had one father abandon her and she is fearful of losing her other one? Kathryn seems to indicate that this is the cause of Daphne’s constant worry.

Kathryn herself shares her concerns with John. She point out that it was not just Daphne who was afraid. “We could have lost you John!” she tearfully tells him. It is then that she stresses that John has to face his new reality.

She applauds times in the past where he went from a professional baseball player, to business owner and then to State Senator.  She points out how they became parents over night to a deaf teenager. He has faced those new realities with a strong attitude, an attitude that Kathryn ask he brings forth again.

John and Daphne bicker over her attempting to keep him healthy by monitoring his actions. Daphne gets hurt at John’s snippy attitude. Towards the end of  the episode, John accepts Daphne’s attempts to help him. Seeming to realize that there are changes his new reality will have.  Maybe he views these changes as not all bad, though. At least he knows he has his family with him.

Ty and Bay continue to have a budding romance. A romance that leads to the bedroom. The first time it seemed that they were going to have sex, it was interrupted by the phone call of the news of John’s heart attack. During a cookout on the base, Bay learns that Ty hooked up with one of the Army medics. This hurts her as she admits to Ty she is still a virgin. A fact he did not know.

Regina and Bay share a sweet mother/daughter moment in the car when Regina picks her up after the cookout. Regina consoles Bay that she understands what it means to be with someone from a “different world.” Her advice is for the two of them to only focus on themselves; outside opinions are just noise.

At the end of the episode, Ty and Bat end up in the bedroom again. This time, it seems there will be no turning back when Bay turns off her cellphone and mutters, “Goodbye by world.”

Regina’s job makes a positive turn as she is hired on as a full time employer. She passes her “probation” period and begins bringing in her own clients to the design store. When Angelo suggests he and his partner that he is opening a restaurant with, become her first clients; she is ecstatic.

She makes a fatal mistake with her boss though. When Angelo comes to the meeting instead of his female partner, her boss is swooned by the handsome Sorento. Regina fails to tell her boss that Angelo is her husband when she inquires about his relationship status.

Will the decisions that the characters are making prove fatal or positive next week? Only the next episode will tell!
