From all of us here at The Hudsucker, we wish you and your mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day! It’s been 100 years since 28th President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the second Sunday in May to be a national celebration known as Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day has been set aside to acknowledge and show appreciation for and honor your mom, her spirit and other motherly figures in your life. There is no greater gift a mother can give than her love.
In honor of the day, we share one of our favorite motherly tunes care of Carrie Underwood, and articles by our writers Cady Lewis who discusses some of TV’s most iconic moms in Celebrating Mother’s Day: A Look at Iconic TV Moms; Kathleen Horgan, in a heartfelt piece about her mother and a trip to Ireland in A Daughter’s Journey; and Stephen King who shares with readers A Dedication… to his late grandmother.
Happy Mother’s Day!
