Chris graduated from Georgia State University in 2009 with degrees in Journalism and Creative Writing. He has spent a lot of time working with the media. From engineering radio broadcast for most of Atlanta’s major sports teams to shooting high school football games behind a camera, Chris has a lot of media experience. Besides that, he loves soccer, detective shows, and a buffet list of 'nerdy' things that would embarrass his wife.

Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere: The Surprise of Greenville, FL

Somewhere past Valdosta on the way to Tallahassee is the delightful gem of Greenville, just inside the panhandle of Florida. The town is full of back roads, farmland and drooping trees, but if you look hard enough you’ll find a cozy nook to spend a few days in at Honey Lake Plantation. The venue can only be accessed from a two-lane road out in the middle of the woods. But while you’d be lucky to have cell phone service, the possibility of having a calm and relaxing weekend is nowhere near as remote.

The venue sees a ton of hunters and equestrian lovers, my wife and I traveled there for a wedding. Besides the comfortable quarters and picturesque scenery, Honey Lake features a secluded vibe that only accentuates the vacation/special occasion feel.

Whether you’re looking to get away or celebrate a big day, keep the town of Greenville, FL in mind. You never know what you’ll find.
