Meanwhile, runner-up La’Porsha Renae announced her album “Already All Ready” is available for pre order and out on March 31st.

The iTunes pre-order comes with the first two catchy singles off the album “All That Matters” and “Brand New Life” and the album is out March 24.

In Idol appearances new, Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert has been keeping up his Queen appearances when he took on Late Late Show host James Corden in a battle for rock supremacy. No surprise here, but Corden later admitted defeat when Lambert’s vocal chops slayed those classic rock tunes.

Season 3 superstar Jennifer Hudson has also been busy with a stint on The Voice UK as a coach. Hudson’s best piece of advice? “No one will chase your dreams for you.” Those are some wise words from the Grammy and Oscar winner herself.

General

There have also been some big events in the lives of some Idol alum. Season 10 star, Pia Toscano, recently celebrated her one-month anniversary to her hubby, Jimmy O. Smith and released a cover of James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” on iTunes to celebrate. Carrie Underwood announced that she’d be taking a break touring now that her 92-show “Storyteller” Tour has come to a close.

The one-and-only Kelly Clarkson also recently shared that the day of the 2006 Grammys (when she claimed her trophy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album) was also a scary one for her, finding out that she might have cancer. Fortunately, it turned out to be a false alarm and we’re so glad it was!

Last, but certainly not least, there have been rumblings and rumors around the web that Idol may be eyeing a new network – NBC – to give the show a new lease on life. Could the Peacock network make the Idol work alongside its other hit singing show, The Voice? We’ll just have to wait and see…

Would you want NBC to revive Idol? Is there any Idol music you’re really looking forward to? Let me know by sounding off in the comments below!
