Taco Bell Adds Nacho Fries to Its Menu

Do you like nachos? Do you like French fries? Do you sometimes find yourself wishing that you could have nachos and French fries at the same time? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Taco Bell is about to make you extremely happy. The Tex-Mex chain announced earlier this week that Nacho Fries are coming!

Described in a press release as “the most-anticipated menu item release of the year,” Nacho Fries are crispy French fries dusted with a Mexican seasoning and served with the restaurant’s signature nacho cheese sauce.

The fries, which had been menu-tested in a slightly different form with spicy habanero seasoning at an Irvine, California Taco Bell location as far back as 2016, will be similar to their chip-oriented cousins. Customers can order the Nacho Fries plain with just the nacho cheese sauce, or get really crazy and get them as Supreme or Bell Grande items — meaning it’s topped with all of the delicious toppings like sour cream, ground beef and refried beans.

However, if you’re a nacho and French fry fanatic, you’ll want to make sure to jump on this dish as soon as possible. Nacho Fries will hit Taco Bell menus on Jan. 25 and for a limited time, will have a pretty sweet price.

Regular Nacho Fries will cost $1, while Supreme and Bell Grande variations will cost $2.49 and $3.49 respectively. And if by some chance Nacho Fries aren’t your thing, don’t worry. Taco Bell plans to introduce a total of 20 new items to their $1 menu this year, meaning that our late-night craving options are about to get really awesome, though whether they will be able to top Nacho Fries remains to be seen.

But hey, if Taco Bell happens to be taking suggestions, a Taco Cheeseburger would be a perfect complement to those fries. Just saying.

I would be over the moon about this Nicole if I lived in the US. But Taco Bells are scarce this side of the pond.
