Spring may have officially arrived only days ago, but the world of makeup is already looking to summer to brighten up our cosmetics collection.
Just in time for warmer weather, makeup giant Maybelline might have given us the definitive eyeshadow trend of summer.
The venerable drug store line’s Lemonade Craze eyeshadow palette invokes a warm, sunny vibe with a 12-color collection of eyeshadows. The palette contains a well-balanced mix of warm-toned summery neutrals — think rose tones with soft browns, with a couple of bright color pops. A punchy pink, bright coral, and even a sunny yellow-orange bring the “lemonade” to the Lemonade Craze palette.
Most of the shades appear to range between a soft shimmer to a full-on metallic, but there are a couple of shades that appear to be more matte. But if the colors haven’t sold you on the palette, Maybelline has taken it one step further to make sure you get those summer vibes you crave.
According to its description on Amazon, the palette is “infused with a fresh citrus scent for sensorial application.”
The best part about the palette is, despite its very seasonal name, the Lemonade Craze shades are just warm enough that they should be wearable not just through summer, but well into the fall as well.

The coral shade, appropriately named Coral Punch, not only reminds us of summer sunsets, but of turning leaves in the fall as well. That kind of versatility sweetens what was already a good deal. The palette is priced at just under $11, making it a total beauty steal.
Already craving some lemonade? There is one downside though: the palette isn’t quite available yet. Lemonade Craze will be released to order online April 13th (Amazon is accepting pre-orders) while the palette isn’t expected to launch in retail stores until May or June. But that pre-order information is a little unusual as drugstore beauty brands don’t usually do online pre-order, which means we can confidently say that Lemonade Craze is going to be the eyeshadow look of summer.
