Dunkin’ Donuts is Making Summer Sweeter With Donut Fries

If you’re having a hard time choosing between fries and doughnuts as your naughty food indulgence, rejoice! Thanks to Dunkin Donut’s new Donut Fries you don’t have to choose between what you love.

While the doughnut chain previously tested their Donut Fries at select locations, as of this week the little sticks of fried dough are available at participating locations all across the United States. And all we can really say about this? Dear Canada, we are so sorry because these Donut Fries are everything.

Technically, the fries are really mini churros — small strips of dough fried up, and then rolled in brown sugar with just a hint of cinnamon. However, the Donut Fries are very much like their slightly larger and firmer Latin counterparts.

Currently at Dunkin’ Donuts, the Donut Fries are selling at $2 per order of five fries, but five isn’t enough. In the interest of truth in reporting, we have personally taste-tested these treats and they’re definitely crowd pleasers. Social media has already given their official review, and we agree with them.

You might get one order for yourself, but anyone who smells them is going to want in on your snack. Trust us. Also, be sure to get them warm. They are still delicious at room temperature or even cold, but they are best when warm. They do microwave well at home, too.

If you’re looking for a drink pairing for your Donut Fries, Dunkin’ has anticipated that and also rolled out a new Brown Sugar Cold Brew. The sugary bite of the fries is perfectly balanced with the light sweetness of the cold brew for a suprising and satisfying treat, which is exactly what Dunkin’ was going for.

“As America’s donut leader, we put our passion and creativity towards finding fun and unexpected ways to please and surprise donut fans,” Dunkin’ Donuts’ Chief Marketing Officer Tony Weisman said in a statement. “There was a strong consumer response towards bringing Donut Fries to all Americans during the initial test, and we are excited to make this unique donut treat available nationwide this summer.”

This summer? Sadly, yes. Donut Fries area limited-time offering so be sure to check these out before they’re gone!
