Bob Odenkirk’s Nobody 2 is a brutal, hilarious sequel mixing family vacation...
Last Monday, July 23, I attended my very first Neil Diamond concert when he played to a practically sold out crowd at the Key Arena in Seattle. Now, I realize that at age 24 I was born well after the height of Neil’s popularity, but his music has been a fixture in my life since […]
As the world says goodbye to Batman with The Dark Knight Rises playing in theaters now nationwide, we welcome back another superhero in the teaser trailer for the Zack Snyder directed Superman flick, Man of Steel. An extended trailer premiered at the San Diego Comic Con earlier this month, however, audiences worldwide get to see […]
I recently received an Advance Reading Copy (ARC) of Emily Giffin’s latest novel Where We Belong. Popular Atlanta-based chick lit author Emily Giffin has penned five blockbuster novels including Something Borrowed and Something Blue. Giffin’s Something Borrowed garnered enough success and attention that the novel was adapted to film last summer starring Kate Hudson, John Krasinski, and Ginnifer Goodwin.
So I have been diligently working to finish off my first article in the Finishing the Game series, but I have come to realize that that takes quite a bit of time. So, rather than try and rush out the article (or hold off until the last day of July to post it…) I have […]
These “lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer” have gotten just a little bit cooler with a refreshing and bubbly dose of ABC’s newest daytime hit, Good Afternoon America.
After more than eight years away from the role, and more than a few disappointments in the almost-sequel column, Thomas Jane has returned to The Punisher in the form of a fan-fiction style short shown at Comic-Con.
There’s a book that I read last summer that I will recommend with reckless abandon to anyone I know, even if I’m well aware that it is completely unlike the other books on their shelves (or in their e-readers, for that matter). This book is in the unfortunate position of partially sharing its title with […]
When I play games with significant moral choice elements, I do my best to make the choice that my version of the character wants to make (even when it’s a choice that I really don’t want them to make…); so my review comes with that angle in mind. NOTE: This review contains no significant episode two […]
Last month I caught the first of two sold-out Aziz Ansari shows in Atlanta. Following Louis C.K.’s model, Ansari recently began self-distributing his Dangerously Delicious comedy special for $5 a download. For his current Buried Alive tour, Ansari performed over an hour of new material including an encore. While hisIntimate Moments for a Sensual Evening and Dangerously Delicious tours and comedy specials were […]
Despite what your parents told you and despite any stigma that people will give you, meeting people from the Internet in real life won’t kill you (IF you’re smart about it—don’t go out and meet ‘killeroftehladiez666′ by the abandoned building at 11PM. If you’re under the age of 18, please do listen to your elders […]
Moonrise Kingdom, Wes Anderson’s first film since his 2009 stop motion animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, has been getting glowing reviews since it debuted on May 16 at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Anderson co-wrote the film with Roman Coppola, who also co-wrote 2007’s The Darjeeling Limited, and fans have been eagerly […]
It’s an age old question that we all wonder. Is there someone out there made for each one of us? I use to wonder about the concept of soulmates and thought it didn’t exist. It just couldn’t. I’ve always believed it was just a thing created by Hallmark and many chocolate manufacturers who knew what […]
