Another chapter has closed in the final book of the American Idol series. Or should I say the “farewell” book? During the Television Critic’s Association Press Tour last Friday, Seacrest, Lopez and Urban all corrected themselves after calling the show’s 15th season it’s “final” season. Whether that means the show will return down the road […]
The FlashBack: ‘The Flash’ – Episode 10 ‘Potential Energy’
Last night’s episode opens with Barry and Patty happy. They are having a beautiful date (with the exception of some roses that caught fire due to Barry using his speed to get to the date).
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 10 ‘Childish Things’
We start our episode with Kara getting a flying lesson from Henshaw. As we all now know, Henshaw is really J’onn J’onnz, Martian Manhunter. Anyway, Henshaw is giving Kara a flying lesson and it’s pretty awesome. Martian Manhunter is fantastic as a character, but they really get him right on the show. It’s just so wonderful visually.
American Idol XV: Auditions Continue
The second week of Idol auditions seemed to repeat the first, giving us plenty to think about after Thursday’s two-hour special, but leaving us a little high and dry after Wednesday’s one hour offering. Perhaps this arrangement was deliberate, leaving the audience wanting more for next week rather than ending on a bad note. Either […]
American Idol XV: Two-Night Premiere
The doors to the 15th and final season of American Idol opened Wednesday night with a nostalgic note, delivering a montage of the moments where each of the previous winners claimed their title and leaving us wondering who would be “the bookend to Kelly Clarkson” that would come from this season. Big shoes to fill, no doubt, […]
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 9 ‘Blood Bonds’
Supergirl is back this week and while I doubt she made any resolutions, I’m excited to see what the New Year holds for her too. Picking up right where we left off, Kara is fighting her Aunt Astra’s husband, Non. It’s a pretty impressive aerial flight with some fancy dodging of a giant jet, but then they slam down to earth right in front of Lord Tech where it appears that Uncle Evil is about to destroy Kara.
Entertainment Roundup: What Happened in December
Happy New Year, all! With all of those holiday parties on your agenda, we gathered up the most important stories in entertainment you may have missed. So, before we look forward to 2016, let’s rewind to December’s biggest headlines in Hollywood!
Top 10 Best ’90s Holiday Sitcom Episodes
Holiday episodes of our favorite TV shows are the perfect way to get just about anyone in the mood for the season. Nowadays, shows are making episodes about Hanukkah and other winter holidays along with Christmas, but Christmas still features prominently. The prime era for Christmas episodes, however? The ’90s. Almost every 1990s sitcom out […]
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 8 ‘Hostile Takeover’
We pick up from where we were last week: Astra and a pair of Kryptonians show up and face off with Kara. Kara punches them, tries to get away, but quickly finds that Astra has that pesky Kryptonite blade and that she and her cronies are wearing something that protects them from it.
The FlashBack: ‘The Flash’ – Episode 9 ‘Running to Stand Still’
The Flash is DC’s television adaptation of the comic book of the same name. It airs Tuesday nights at 8/7 Central on The CW. Our writer, Nicole Drum recaps the series each week updating you on the latest episode here in The FlashBack.
Fly Like a Girl: ‘Supergirl’ – Episode 7 ‘Human for a Day’
This week’s episode opens up with our heroine getting put through all sorts of medical paces. The Alura program in Kara’s special fortress room explains her power loss. The nuts and bolts of it is that she drained all her Kryptonian cells of the energy they get from the yellow sun.
The FlashBack Special Edition: Arrow – ‘Legends of Yesterday’
Last night’s episode more or less ties the events of “Legends of Today” into a neat bow and sets up for the January 21st premiere of “Legends of Tomorrow.” However where Tuesday’s episode of “The Flash” was largely a really well-done ensemble piece, last night’s “Arrow” was definitely an “Arrow” episode.

How to Send American Idol Off in Style
by Andrew Rogers on December 28, 2015 in Film & Television, Music, News, Television
In just over a week, on Wednesday the 6th of January, American Idol will begin airing its final trek around the country to find a star and the pressure is on for the franchise and the judges (Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. are all returning) to find one last superstar, while simultaneously […]
