This week’s episode opens up with our heroine getting put through all sorts of medical paces. The Alura program in Kara’s special fortress room explains her power loss. The nuts and bolts of it is that she drained all her Kryptonian cells of the energy they get from the yellow sun.

Last night’s episode signaled not only a return to the normal week but also the end of my holiday leftovers so it needed to be pretty great and it did not disappoint. You all know the rules by now: spoilers beyond this point (now would be a good time to go get a snack.)

This week’s episode opens with our girl having a great flight just being happy. We know she’s happy because that’s what she’s monologuing about. She is definitely happy. As she is having her happy flight she sees a drone and goes after it.

Our episode opens with some DEO guards escorting an alien. It’s humanoid, but has some freaky features. The guards have the alien in chains, which I’m not sure makes sense because every alien we’ve seen so far is crazy strong and oh look, said alien breaks out of the chains.

So about that interview. It’s a pretty lackluster interview which I think is a weakness of the episode here. The show is definitely improving with its writing and acting, but it’s not quite smooth yet.

Kara, still flying high on her defeat of Vartox, is hard at work. First, DEO is putting her through her paces. She needs training, or so thinks Henshaw, but our girl in blue disagrees.
