Tuesday’s episode of “The Flash” put our hero in position for the season finale. It also gave us some of the most emotional moments of any season yet. There’s really not a way to describe things without getting heavy into spoilers so if you’re ready for the recap, just be warned it’s quite a roller coaster.

Last night’s episode jumped right back into the story from where it left off last week so we’re going to do the same with the recap. If you haven’t seen “Cause and Effect” then you might want to stop reading now since there will be a lot of spoilers.

We finally find out definitively who Savitar is. For some of us though, it didn’t feel like much of a surprise as we’d pieced together the clues, while for others it was an emotionally punch to the gut that left more questions. No matter which camp you’re in, the episode was beautifully nuanced with layers of emotions for all of the members of Team Flash.
