Last night’s episode jumped right back into the story from where it left off last week so we’re going to do the same with the recap. If you haven’t seen “Cause and Effect” then you might want to stop reading now since there will be a lot of spoilers.

We finally find out definitively who Savitar is. For some of us though, it didn’t feel like much of a surprise as we’d pieced together the clues, while for others it was an emotionally punch to the gut that left more questions. No matter which camp you’re in, the episode was beautifully nuanced with layers of emotions for all of the members of Team Flash. After a too-long spring break, we’re finally back with our favorite Scarlet Speedster and it’s all downhill from here as we head towards the season finale. Last we saw Barry he still didn’t know who Savitar was. Last night he got a little closer to that all-important piece of information, but first he had to go back to the future. Spoilers beyond this point!

Last night’s episode is the last one we get for a full month. Sad face. Fortunately, it was a great episode, sets us up for the downhill run to the end of the season and when we get back in a month Tom Cavanagh so I promise we will survive. With both Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist being Glee alumn it’s not surprising that fans would end up with a Flash/Supergirl crossover featuring both stars singing. What is surprising is just how many other members of the so-called Arrowverse can sing and join the heroes in this special, but important, episode of The Flash.
